Beale is an Australian story of commitment to industry, achievement and excellence. Founded by Octavius Charles Beale in Annandale Sydney in 1893, Beale rose to become the largest piano manufacturer in the British Empire and was admired for its independent and self contained manufacturing methods. Beale produced some 95,000 pianos between 1893 and 1975.

Today the tradition of Beale fine craftsmanship continues on the other side of the world at the Pearl River Piano factory in China, where Beale pianos are still manufactured utilising Beale's methods.
