The zinc alloy allows the warm harmonics to come through. The walnut stained curly hard rock maple neck has a bound fingerboard and white capped heel. The neck is slender low profile and shaped for fast accurate fingering. The rock maple neck contributes to the bright, crisp tone of the Maple Blossom. The smooth polished ebony fingerboard is decorated with Mother of Pearl flower inlays that are elegant, delicate and classic in design: showcasing Deerings world renowned workmanship and also provide helpful fingering position markers so the player can easily see what notes are being fingered. The two way adjustable truss rod provides precision adjustment to maintain superb playability without buzzing. The artistic and acoustic features of the Maple Blossom are comparable to competitive banjos that cost 20% more.
